Position:
Field Application Engineer for battery management systems (BMS) and motor control
Location:
Shanghai / Shenzhen
Job Responsibilities:
Support Qorvo PPM product line, focusing on Motor Control and Battery Management System (BMS) applications.
Support key customers to modify firmware, assist with design, review schematics and PCB layouts.
Guide customers to solve application issues, from design stage to mass production
Work in lab to tune customer’s boards and evaluation boards to meet customer specifications
On-site support: Experience in solving customer technical issues. Provide customers with technical product support at the system and component level.
Collaborate with applications team members for troubleshooting.
Interface with sales and marketing as the customer’s technical contact. Ability to communicate customer needs, system specifications and product cycle information to the business units.
Qualifications:
>5 years’ experience with good working knowledge of battery technology and active cell balancing, field oriented control (FOC) of motors and power conversion.
Working knowledge of MCUs including Microchip PIC/Infineon XMC/TI C2000.
Familiar with C programming language.
Skilled at problem solving and debugging.
Good team player with open mind and critical thinking, willing to take on challenges.
Good presentation skills, customer oriented, good technical writing ability, responsible for technical articles, application notes, product notes.
Willingness to travel a few times a quarter for customer visits.
Pre-requisite Skills:
English language skills for both writing and speaking.
Good teamwork interpersonal skills.
